Data Center UPS Critical Power Refresh

The facility maintenance program helps ensure power and cooling systems continuously perform as expected throughout the life cycle of the data center. Good asset intelligence combined with a proactive preventative and predictive maintenance plan boosts equipment reliability and system availability. As a result, maintenance budget forecasts become more accurate, while total cost of ownership and downtime are both minimized.

A poorly managed program, on the other hand, increases operating costs due to higher failure rates that can result in costly repairs and extended periods of downtime. Maintenance management encompasses three key tasks: asset management, work order management, and spare parts management.

Today, one of our 500 fortune companies’ customers decided to embark on a major Data Center Electrical Low voltage and UPS Critical power major refresh. The project involve adding extra power capacity to the mains (3phase) 50KW to 100KW, add Automatic Transfer Switch and Diesel Generator for extra back up cover, increase the IT Rack power capacity from 7.5kw to 13.5kw, redesign rack power distribution unit (PDU) from normal to smart meted PDU, add redundancy at the server and core switches level.
